Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking
Absolutely! The property has a private boathouse with a fully enclosed boat slip, powered boat lift, and deep water year-round. There's plenty of driveway space for your truck and trailer. The boathouse also has a fish cleaning station with fresh water, outlets, and a 7 cu ft freezer for bait and your catch.
Yes — the property has deep water access year-round. You'll never have low-water issues. The dock has sturdy steps into the lake for swimming, and the boat slip accommodates bass boats and pontoons.
There are 5 public boat ramps within 10 minutes of the property. The closest is at Gunter's Landing, just a few minutes away. You can also launch directly from the boathouse for smaller watercraft.
Yes, we welcome pets that are housebroken, well-behaved indoors, and under control when outside. The property sits on a full acre with a large yard. The direct quote confirms the nightly pet fee ($15/night for 1 pet, $30/night for up to 3). Pet damage including accidents, chewing, or scratching will be deducted from the $300 security deposit.
Please review our full rental agreement for cancellation details. We send the lease agreement via email for electronic signature before your stay. A $300 refundable damage deposit is required.
Walmart, Publix, and several restaurants are about 10 minutes away in Guntersville. Top of the River and The Rock House are local favorites. There's also a Dollar General just a few minutes from the property.
Mobility-friendly, single-level home with a ramped, step-free front entrance, wide interior doorways, and no interior stairs or difficult thresholds. Bathrooms have grab bars beside the toilets, tub, and showers; the showers have a small step at entry. The lake-facing back porch is two steps below the rear door, and the walkway to the dock has one step before the ramped dock. The property is not represented as ADA-compliant. Please contact us before booking if you need specific measurements or accessibility details.
The single-level home, bunk room, full kitchen, laundry, and one-acre yard can work well for multigenerational families. The lakefront, dock, boathouse, shoreline, fire pit, and grills require active adult supervision, and the property is not a lifeguarded swimming facility. Guests with mobility needs should review the porch, walkway, dock, and shower-entry steps before booking.
Absolutely! The house is perfect for small group retreats. The big kitchen table and open living area give you plenty of workspace, and the house sleeps 9 comfortably. WiFi, a full kitchen for group meals, fireplace, and peaceful lake views make it ideal for crafting weekends, scrapbooking groups, quilting retreats, or remote work getaways. Past guests have loved it for exactly this — especially in winter when rates are lowest and there are no distractions.
