There is a lot to do without leaving the property: grill on the fire pit. fish, swim, and observe the wild life, which may include a Bald Eagle, Osprey or the endangered Whooping Crane. Turtles and ducks love to sun themselves on the log by the pier. The living area and every bedroom have ceiling to floor windows to take advantage of your lake view. Each bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to the patio.

The house is located on Buck Island Shores not far from Gunter’s Landing Golf Course and across the cove from the Yacht Club.  It can be a quiet retreat for two or an exciting vacation for the whole family.

 

Bring or rent a boat or jet ski. There is a boat launch exactly one mile from the Getaway that has recently been expanded. Enjoy boating, skiing, or tubing on beautiful Lake Guntersville. Or, if you like to fish, try your hand at fishing right off the dock and bring in that prize winning bass. Fishing is often good at the boathouse.
